Hannah absolutely adores Barney. She goes around the house shouting the song and has learned how to operate both remotes in order to get the videos to play. I limit her to one video a day and this is what happens when the big purple dinosaur appears on the screen...

March Update
I can't believe how much time has passed since our last blog posting. Hannah continues to amaze us! She knows several new words now. In the video below she is saying "raff" for Giraffe.
Hannah has a fascination with shoes. She constantly has to have them on her feet and if she doesn't she will find the closest pair to put on. It is so cute when she tries walking around the house in daddy or mommy's shoes!

Hannah continues to torment the "cat-cats". She loves to chase them around the house and "pet" them!

18 Months Old
Hannah had her 18 month check-up today. The doctor said she's right on track for her age. I counted up the words I could think of that she knows and says and it was between 40 and 50. I couldn't believe it! She is 33" tall (85th percentile) and 24 lbs 3 oz (48th percentile).
Hannah has started to copy almost everything I do and likes to help out with everyday tasks (as you can see, she set the table!). She understands what clean-up means and actually seems to enjoy putting things in their places.

Happy 18 Month Birthday, Hannah!!
Grandma (JuJu) and Grandpa (PaPa) came for a weekend visit. Hannah had so much fun with them!

The weather was gorgeous so we spent some time outside. Hannah loves running and playing!

Crocodile Tears
This kid is serious about her cupcakes!
Hannah is starting to learn the art of manipulation, tantrums, and crocodile tears. From what I hear, it's only going to get worse...especially since she's dropping the "NO!" word left and right. The nursery workers at church are even starting to make comments about her favorite word.

For now I'm chalking it up to teething. Hopefully if I keep ignoring her rants and raves she'll eventually realize that they accomplish nothing, right?! Here's Hannah's response to my thoughts:

February Update
I can't believe it's been such a long time since I've updated the blog! Hannah's been busy growing, growing, growing! She had a huge growth spurt this month. Here are some of the highlights of our February.
Making big messes is lots of fun these days! Dump and fill, dump and fill...
Aunt Lauren called this outfit "Punky Brewster", but I think she looks so cute! Not to mention the whole outfit cost less than $5 on clearance at Old Navy! Can't beat that :)

Grandma Deibel came for a special Valentine's Day visit. Hannah was all girl this weekend with her new purse and shopping cart from grandma. She also spent lots of time taking care of her baby doll.

Hannah's also learning a lot of new songs. She can do the motions for some of "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "Head and Shoulders". We practice every Friday at the library during Mother Goose Cafe time. I have yet to get a great video, but here's her progress so far :)
She continues to belt out "E-I-E-I-Ooooooo" whenever she wakes up or sees an animal of any kind. She calls almost everything a cow and it's hilarious. She can also sing portions of "Twinkle, Twinkle", but it comes out more like "up-a up-a up-a up-a" for "up above the sky so high". She has to have music on in the car or she goes bananas. As long as her Wee Sing is blasting she's a happy girl.
Hannah's favorite toy for the last couple of months has been and still is her Dora ball from Grandma and Grandpa Coddington. She is becoming very creative in her play....
This last picture shows just how BIG she's getting. It's so hard to believe! Each day is so much fun, especially helping her learn more and more language. Her little sponge mind amazes me and so does she.
