April Update

Reader beware! I have been slacking on the postings lately so you're getting them all at once. Here are the latest pictures of Hannah...and there are tons of them!

So I'm told that these are "Kara faces."

The following video is a demonstration of what a good listener Hannah is. She's so obedient!

Our little princess!

Did mommy tell you, "No, no" again? Poor baby. Look at that lip. She totally has the pout mastered. Must be an inherent little girl skill.

Daddy's Girl!

Hannah's First Haircut

Don't worry mom, we only trimmed it and cut her bangs!! You can't even tell--I promise!!

I <3 Aunt Lauren

Aunt Lauren came for another exciting visit in April. I'm pretty sure she loves Hannah almost as much as Caleb and I do!

Aunt Lauren enjoyed her ride on the fire truck with Bert and Ernie much more than Hannah did. She screamed and threw a temper tantrum. What kid doesn't like the rides at the mall?

We miss you, Aunt Lauren!! XOXOXOXO

I Love You, You Love Me...

We're a Happy Family!!!

Hannah absolutely adores Barney. She goes around the house shouting the song and has learned how to operate both remotes in order to get the videos to play. I limit her to one video a day and this is what happens when the big purple dinosaur appears on the screen...

March Update

I can't believe how much time has passed since our last blog posting. Hannah continues to amaze us! She knows several new words now. In the video below she is saying "raff" for Giraffe.

Hannah has a fascination with shoes. She constantly has to have them on her feet and if she doesn't she will find the closest pair to put on. It is so cute when she tries walking around the house in daddy or mommy's shoes!

Hannah continues to torment the "cat-cats". She loves to chase them around the house and "pet" them!

18 Months Old

Hannah had her 18 month check-up today. The doctor said she's right on track for her age. I counted up the words I could think of that she knows and says and it was between 40 and 50. I couldn't believe it! She is 33" tall (85th percentile) and 24 lbs 3 oz (48th percentile).

Hannah has started to copy almost everything I do and likes to help out with everyday tasks (as you can see, she set the table!). She understands what clean-up means and actually seems to enjoy putting things in their places.

Happy 18 Month Birthday, Hannah!!

Grandma (JuJu) and Grandpa (PaPa) came for a weekend visit. Hannah had so much fun with them!

The weather was gorgeous so we spent some time outside. Hannah loves running and playing!

Crocodile Tears

This kid is serious about her cupcakes!

Hannah is starting to learn the art of manipulation, tantrums, and crocodile tears. From what I hear, it's only going to get worse...especially since she's dropping the "NO!" word left and right. The nursery workers at church are even starting to make comments about her favorite word.

For now I'm chalking it up to teething. Hopefully if I keep ignoring her rants and raves she'll eventually realize that they accomplish nothing, right?! Here's Hannah's response to my thoughts:
